He has been enthusiastic about art since a young age and has been passionately collecting contemporary and modern works ever since. Traveling and skiing are among his personal interests, as well as getting to know new people and cultures.

His memories of his one-year trip around the world at the age of 30, during which he stayed mainly in Asia and where his ongoing connection stems from, bear witness to this.

The Stoffel Family Foundation has existed since 1998, which he founded out of respect for people in need.
Together with Giovanna Stefanel-Stoffel he has sponsored 30 Nepalese orphans. With the Foundation, which also runs a school, they offer the children a family environment that wants to open up the best possible future for them.
